Our client, a multinational company in the entertainment industry is seeking to hire a Regulatory Affairs Manager . The role will be responsible for high level government regulatory liaison and will be responsible for managing the company's intellectual property infringement strategies. Based in Dubai as part of the legal team the regulatory affairs manager will work closely with the legal, sales, technology and broadcast teams for the implementation of agreed goals. Duties and Responsibilities Actively develop and maintain relationships with government departments and regulatory authorities
Manage IPR infringement strategies, including anti-piracy activities with regulatory authorities and follow up on implementation of anti-piracy policies
Conduct market research in association with investigators and align with government officials
Organize training sessions for various government and regulatory bodies
Prepare police complaints and follow up with police and other law enforcement bodies on anti-piracy activities
Follow up cases with external counsel and local prosecutors
Candidate qualifications Fluent Arabic and English
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Intellectual Property law in the MENA region
Experience in working with and liaising with MENA region government departments, regulators, law enforcement and judiciary
Pro-active and self motivated
Experience in the implementation of IPR protection and infringement strategies
Formal legal training
Legal qualification in a relevant regional jurisdiction
University level degree
Experience in the media industry in the MENA region
Experience in anti-piracy activities for broadcasters or major FMV in the MENA region
Experience in managing staff
Experience in working with international IPR enforcement bodies
