Director Nawaf Al Janahi will film the winning script.
Abu Dhabi's New York Film Academy franchise has put out a call for contributions from budding script writers. The winning script will have their work turned into a film by 'Sea Shadow' director Nawaf Al Janahi, as wll as winning a scholarship to the academy and having the film entered into international competitions.
The scripts must be between five and 10 minutes long, in Arabic or English, though Arabic is preferred, and should ideally feature no dialogue, and at most five lines thereof. They must also be related to one of the revenge, crime or experimental genres. An intriguing selection all things considered, and we're already digging our pens out for an Emirati take on 'I Spit on your Grave'.
