Melody House, distributors of DPA microphones and HK Audio speakers has supplied a range of microphones and speakers to Bahrain based rental firm Art Home Production. The deal includes four sets of PR:O10XA from HK Audio and five sets of IMK4061 from DPA microphones. Art Home Productions, mainly involved with Arabic artists and events across the Kingdom of Bahrain, provide audiovisual services for numerous events that include weddings, parties and other occasions.
The 4061s from DPA microphones are great live and studio microphones for acoustic string instruments, offering great detail and resolution. The 4061s have a neutral sonic character and are very natural sounding, with a very low noise floor, impressive sensitivity and ability to handle high SPLs making them perfect especially for certain instruments in the Middle East region.
While HK Audio’s PR:O10XA speaker is a remarkably versatile 10"/1" enclosure that can serve as a satellite, a fullrange cabinet, and a low-profile wedge monitor. The Music/Speech knob may be adjusted to tune the speaker to the appropriate setting in order to obtain a feedback-resistant frequency response that suits a given application. All this and an onboard power amp make the PR:O 10 XA a very flexible sound reinforcement tool indeed.

“Like most rental companies, Art Home approached us for a solution for the challenges they face everyday. Most of their events have high SPL instruments where the musician needs to hear himself from the monitor and the stage is too small for a large wedge,” commented Amrith Verghese, DPA and HK Audio product specialist at Melody House.
He continued, “the combination of the 4061s with the PR:O10XA gave them exactly what they wanted. To be able to pick up the instruments clearly whilst providing the musicians with clear yet compact wedges.”
