Today (Wednesday) saw over 150 of the region's key broadcast media professionals attend the first ever ITP Broadcast conference, jointly presented by Digital Studio and Digital Broadcast magazines and under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, at Dubai's Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa.
Delegates saw some of the region's key players from broadcasters including Abu Dhabi Media, Dubai Media Inc, Turner Broadcast, Sky and Al Arabiya, as well as representatives from key manufacturers and integrators such as like Snell, Avid, First Gulf, Riedel and Fujinon take part in a host of panel discusions and workshops on topics as wide-ranging as revenue generation, multi-platform media and 3D production, as well as having the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with fellow industry professionals.
Digital Studio editor Chris Newbould commented at the event: "It's been a really succesful day, with agreat turn out and some important issues raised. As we move into a new era of multi-platform broadcasting, not to mention one of continued international economic uncertainty and the uncertain afternmath of the Arab Spring, it's useful for the industry to get together, take a step back and think about what all this means to content producers, revenue managers and viewers alike."
