Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has partnered with the American University in the Emirates (AUE) to facilitate the exchange of academic, training, and consulting services between the two entities.
According to the deal, DMI will provide in-depth training to AUE students and utilise their skills for research studies and promotional campaigns while the academic institute will offer media-related training courses to DMI employees at concessional costs.
Ahmed Abdulla Al Sheikh, managing director of DMI and media escort for HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai stated that the agreement is part of the broadcaster’s efforts to “motivate our employees and develop their professional and creative capabilities to help them enhance their performance and skills”.
DMI“The MoU is in line with DMI’s endeavour to partner with prominent universities and leading international academic institutions and expose aspiring young professionals to state-of-the-art equipment and techniques. We are also committed to training students on the use of modern technologies available at DMI,” he stated
AUE board members also added that the MoU would give its students “practical skills and experience in various media segments.”
Earlier this year, DMI signed a similar agreement with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).
